La Salle

The highly anticipated match between the 1 and 2 teams in the PCL came to be on Wednesday afternoon.  La Salle came in owning an undefeated record against the PCL, while Wood had previously dropped a tightly contested match to Roman Catholic.  The stage was set to be a great match.  The first set saw La Salle jump out to an early advantage, but once Wood sided out they stepped up serve and net play.  The Vikings took the exciting first set 25-19.

The Second Set was saw Wood Jump out to an early 6-0 lead into the first time out called by La Salle.  Wood continued it's run and forced a second time out at 13-1.  As both teams settled in Wood continued with good serves and solid net play to take the second set 25-19. 

The third saw the Vikings fall behind early and never really got into a grove to come back.  The Explorers took set 3 16-25.  The fourth set proved to be more like the first two with Wood jumping out to an early lead and never looking back to take the set and match 25-19.
