Reminder, Volleyballs, How to Improve on your own

Reminder to everyone we will have open gym again tomorrow from 6:00-8:30 in the Boys Gym.  If your parents could not make it last week please see me for a packet of information.  While these open gyms are here for you guys to learn the game.  Please come when you can, have an open attitude and we will be good to go!

If you do not own a volleyball I am putting a few links up to the ones you should be looking into.

This is the cheapest place I have found them.  Make sure they are the black and white ones, the other ones with padding are cheaper but will not hold up in the weather and these also come with a warranty.


Molten Pro Touch or V5M5000-3N FLISTATEC

Indoor Volleyballs

Make sure to get the Pro Touch not a Super touch.  Also make sure it is the Red white and Blue.  For the 5000-3N you can get the Red White and Green or Red White and Blue.  



How to Improve on your own
1. Walk your approach everywhere!
2. Practice your arm swing in the mirror
3. Watch Good Volleyball LIVE if you can
4. Set against a wall
5. Set things that are heavier than a Volleyball (Basketball, medicine ball)
6. Work out focus on Core, squats, dead lifts and cleans as well as running
7. Work on speed and agility (Change of direction)
8. Set into a basket ball net (Focus on form, hit the back board every time, play with a friend)


There are many other things you can do but for now these will help your basic skills!
